Climate change matters to Oxfam, because it perpetuates and deepens the very poverty and discrimination that we work to overcome. It is clear that our Pacific whānau, who have done the least to cause climate change, are bearing the worst of its effects. This May, we are hosting a gathering of many of our community partner organisations from Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Tuvalu and Timor Leste. Our partners include climate action networks, women’s organisations and other groups working at the community level to respond to the challenges of climate change.
Will you join us in welcoming our Pacific partners to Aotearoa and learning more about the incredible work they are doing in their home communities?
