Let’s keep up the good work for climate justice together!
Right now, our politicians are deciding whether New Zealand will keep funding climate action in the Pacific. Oxfam Aotearoa is asking our Government to keep up the good work. Will you add your voice?
Public grants for climate action are one of the most important ways that New Zealand stands with Pacific communities facing the worsening impacts of the climate crisis. We can all be proud of the positive difference we’re making. New Zealand’s funding supports communities to maintain their basic needs in a changing climate – things like fresh water, suitable crops, and a safe place to live.
The New Zealand Government has increased our financial contributions in recent years, supporting communities on the frontlines to adapt to climate change. Our government also sets a world-leading example by providing all of our public climate finance as grants, not loans.
